Ukraine and Turkey will jointly fight international crime

The Minister of internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov held a meeting with Director General for security of the Turkish Republic Gillom Uzunkaya.

The Ministry of internal Affairs enhances cooperation with Turkey to combat organized and international crime. On Tuesday, October 16, was announced by the Minister of internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov during the meeting with Director General for security of the Turkish Republic Gillom Uzunkaya, informs the Department of communication of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Ukraine.

According to Avakov, cooperation with Turkey remains important for the interior Ministry.

“Continue and strengthen the cooperation between our countries. The focus of the joint programme to combat organized and international crime. It is important that we have a common vision – only hard steps,” – said Avakov.

During the meeting the sides discussed other issues of cooperation in the field of law enforcement, in particular, continued training, equipment and technical assistance for the development of national police.

The interior Minister also announced that soon a group of Ukrainian police officers will go for training to the Republic of Turkey.

 

 

Earlier Ukraine said that Ukraine in 2013 decreased by 10% the level of crime.

It was also reported that this year in the country a 30% decrease in the number of robberies and 8% of street crimes.
