Ukraine bans flights of Boeing 737 Max

After the crash of this model in Ethiopia, the flights ceased for more than half of the world fleet of Boeing 737 MAX.

The state aviation service on Wednesday, March 13, temporarily banned flights on the Boeing 737-8 MAX and the Boeing 737-9 MAX over the territory of Ukraine, except for non-commercial use. As reported on the Agency’s website, the ban entered from 16:00.

“With the date and time of publication of this Decision prohibited flights on the Boeing 737-8 MAX and the Boeing 737-9 MAX, within, from or over the territory of Ukraine. Note: non-commercial operation (such as distillation operations) are not included in the scope of this decision. Individual permissions for performance of flights from the territory of Ukraine coordinated with the Ministry of transport”, – stated in the message.

It recalled that on March 12, flying these models of aircraft banned in European Union.

Note, similar decisions were made by dozens of countries and many airlines. Flying ceased over half of the world fleet of Boeing 737 MAX.

Flying planes has decided not to ban in USA and Canada.

We will remind, on March 10, Boeing 737 Max 8 of Ethiopian Airlines airline performing flight from Addis Ababa to Nairobi, crashed 60 kilometres East of the capital of Ethiopia. The plane crash claimed the lives of 157 people.

As you know, the collapse 8МАХ in Ethiopia happened in four months after a plane crash in Indonesia. Then new Boeing 737 MAX 8 crashed into the sea shortly after taking off from Jakarta. Killed 189 people aboard.

The preliminary investigation established that the aircraft of the new model may incorrectly interpret the data on flows of air and had to lower the nose of the plane, sending it into a nosedive.
