Visa-free regime was in place from the Soviet era.

Ukraine has terminated the agreement the Soviet era, which was granted the right to visa-free entry for citizens of North Korea, reports the website of the Cabinet.

The government approved the resolution on termination of the Agreement between the government of the USSR and the government of the Democratic people’s Republic about mutual trips of citizens from 22.01.1986, which was used in relations between Ukraine and Korea in succession.

“In connection with the adoption of the Ordinance will be introduced visa regime of entry to Ukraine citizens of the DPRK, which in turn, will enhance controls and to exclude the entry into Ukraine is inadmissible persons”, – noted in the government.

Recall that recently the DPRK on the orders of leader Kim Jong-UN, publicly executed two high-ranking officials from anti-aircraft guns.

Presumably, one of the men was executed for sleeping during a meeting with North Korean leader, according to South Korean newspaper JoongAng Ilbo, citing a source.
