Ukraine can’t turn to Russia for the extradition of the captain of the arrested vessel Nord Vladimir Gorbenko, who is on the territory of Crimea, because such actions of Russia will be interpreted as the recognition of the annexation of the Peninsula. On Tuesday, February 12, said the Deputy Prosecutor General Evgeny ENIN, reports UNN.

“We can’t address the Russian Federation with requests for extradition from the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, because, thus, it will be interpreted by them as evidence of recognition of Russian Crimea”, – he said.

According to him, the Ukrainian side has repeatedly faced with a similar problem.

“It remains open, although a small stratagems we have acquired all the same,” said ENIN, without revealing them in the interests of business.

Before the press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov confirmed that the captain of the vessel Nord Vladimir Gorbenko is located on the territory annexed Crimea, noting that he had forwarded to the Russian Ministry of foreign Affairs the question of how Russia would react if Ukraine would demand the extradition of captain or offer to exchange him for someone.

Earlier, the captain of the ship Kerch Nord Vladimir Gorbenko, who was declared wanted on the mainland of Ukraine, returned to the Crimea.

At the same time, the state border service of Ukraine assured that the official Gorbenko did not cross admingranitsu with the Peninsula.
