The state company UkrSpetsExport and the Turkish company Baykar Makina signed a purchase agreement for the APU armed drones Bayraktar TB2. This was announced by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on his page in Facebook on Saturday, January 12.

“As we agreed with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan signed an agreement on purchase of Ukrainian troops percussion Turkish drones Bayraktar TB2”, – wrote the head of state.

“We continue to rearm the Ukrainian army with modern, relevant NATO standards”, – summed Poroshenko.

Earlier in November, the journalist Yury Butusov reported that Ukraine has signed a purchase agreement in Turkey one set of unmanned aerial vehicles Bayraktar TB2 in the amount of 69 million dollars. The contract included six impact drones, two control stations and 200 missiles. The agreement was allegedly signed at the beginning of November 2018, when Petro Poroshenko visited Turkey.

In turn, the Minister of defense Stepan Poltorak said that Ukraine had not signed the agreement to purchase drones Bayraktar TB2.

We will remind, Bayraktar TB2 broke the world record for UAVs in the tactical class medium-altitude UAV for the duration of the flight. So during test flights in June and August, 2014 at eight kilometers, it was in the sky 24 hours 34 minutes.
