The President signed a decree enacted the decision NSDC.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed a decree enacted the decision NSDC regarding personal sanctions against representatives of the Russian media.

“The list of persons included in the sanction list, in particular the General Director of TV company “the First channel” Konstantin Ernst, chief editor of the site Novorus.info Andrey Surkov, the owner of holding “the Truth.Ru” Vadim Gorshenin, Director-General of the information Agency “TASS Sergey Mikhailov, former General Director of LifeNews Ashot Gabrelyanov, the editor in chief of TV channel “Russia Today” Margarita Simonyan, the press service of the head of state.

In addition, the list – owner and chief editor of the newspaper “Moskovsky Komsomolets” Pavel Gusev, chief editor of news Agency “Regnum”, Vigen Hakobyan, a former editor-in-chief of the TV channel LifeNews and the newspaper “Izvestia” Alexander Potapov, chief editor of “Rossiyskaya Gazeta” Vladislav Fronin and editor in chief of the newspaper “Russian reporter” Vitaly Leibin.

Also on the list were the head of the Directorate of public-legal broadcasting of TV channel “NTV” Andrey Kunitsyn, journalist, former General Director of TV company “NTV Vladimir Kulistikov, the journalist, presenter of the program “Time” on “the First channel” Irada Zeynalova, chief editor and General Director of JSC “Komsomolskaya Pravda” Vladimir Sungorkin, General Director of media holding “all-Russian state television and radio broadcasting company Oleg Dobrodeyev and its first Deputy General Director of informating all-Russian state TV channel, the General Director of TV channel “Russia-1” Anton Zlatopolsky.

Thus, according to the decree, the President enacted the NSDC decision, according to which until 31 December 2017, apply personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions) to individuals who “pose a real and potential threats to national interests, national security, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, contribute to terrorist activities and violate the rights and freedoms of citizens, lead to the occupation of the territories, and creating obstacles to the full realization by citizens of Ukraine proper rights and freedoms.”

The Cabinet of Ministers, together with the security Service of Ukraine was instructed to ensure the implementation and monitoring of the effectiveness of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions).

The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine shall inform the competent authorities of the European Union, USA and other States to impose sanctions and raise before them the question of the application of similar restrictive measures against these entities.

Control over the implementation of this decision rests with the Secretary of the NSDC Oleksandr Turchynov.

The decree comes into force from the date of its publication.

Earlier the President Petro Poroshenko signed a law according to which in Ukraine is prohibited showing films created in Russia after January 1, 2014.
