Ukraine after the completion of the heating season increased the natural gas reserves in its underground storage facilities to 1 billion 468 million cubic meters. This is evidenced by Ukrtransgaz on Monday, may 21.

In the period from 8 April to 19 may stockpiles had risen from 7 billion 435,16 million cubic meters to 8 billion 904 million cubic metres last Saturday, the last reporting period, store downloaded more than 60 million cubic meters.

According to calculations by Interfax-Ukraine, in the period from 1 to may 19, UGS added 970,51 million cubic meters (51,1 million cubic meters/day). If current import volumes and the current domestic production in June the country will enter with the stockpiles of about 9.5 billion cubic meters.

Recall that in 2017 Ukraine has increased gas imports from Europe by 27% (to 3 billion cubic m.) – up to 14.1 billion cubic meters Ukraine from 26 November 2015 natural gas imports contract with Russia’s Gazprom, buying online exclusively on its Western border.

Earlier it was reported that imported to Ukraine gas price increased almost 13%. Its value in April was 309,91 dollars/thousand cubic meters.
