Polish consulates in Ukraine will open only after the increased security on the Ukrainian side, but this has not happened yet. This was stated by the Ambassador of Poland in Ukraine Jan Pieklo, reports Polish radio.

“Now we can not say that after the shelling of the Polish Consulate in Lutsk Ukraine has strengthened the protection of the diplomatic Department so that Poland could again open them,” said Inferno.

According to him, despite the complications, the citizens of Ukraine can continue to submit visa applications at the visa application centers. But the Consulate for external stakeholders closed, and for Polish citizens – open.

“If this is an emergency and you need something quick to decide that the Polish citizen will not be a problem with it”, – assured the Ambassador.

After this incident, Poland has closed down all the consulates in Ukraine.

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko instructed to strengthen the protection of foreign diplomatic and consular establishments in Ukraine due to the shelling of the Consulate of Poland in Lutsk. He also proposed to involve the investigation of the shelling of the Polish experts.
