Ukraine has reduced exports of sunflower oil

At the end of last month, the lagging indicators of the record of the season was increased to 8.5%.

In July of the current 2017/18 season sunflower oil exports from Ukraine amounted to 422 thousand tons. This is 3.2% less compared to the previous month and 17.3% lower compared with July last year.

It is noted that the main directions of export of Ukrainian sunflower oil will remain India (45% of total exports), the EU (26%) and China (9%).

India, despite rising import tariffs, increased purchases compared to last year by 21.4%. In turn, the EU and China has reduced imports by 17.5% and 13.9%, respectively.

The total number of trading partners of Ukraine on the market of sunflower oil is greater than 120 countries, including new export destinations.

It is also reported that from September to July 2017/18 marketing year, sunflower oil exports totaled 4.9 million tons compared to 5.4 million tons a year earlier. By the end of July, the lagging indicators of the past record of the season was increased to 8.5%.

Despite the reduction in shipments in the last four months, seasonal figures for the production of sunflower oil in Ukraine remain close to record levels, – stated in the message.

Recall that last year Ukraine increased to a record production of sunflower oil – up to 6.4 million tons. The result of the 2016/2017 marketing year is 46% higher than in the previous marketing year to 3.65 million tonnes.

Earlier it was reported that in January-June 2018 year, Ukraine exported agricultural products to $8.6 billion decreased by $100 million compared to prosim year.
