Ukraine needs to accumulate 2.6 million tons of coal for the heating season

As of August 27 stocks rose 115,7 thousand tons, or by 6.7% – up to 1 million 840 thousand tons of coal.

In the past week the inventory level of coal and gas anthracite groups on TPP and CHPP of Ukraine grew by 6.7%. Last week, the increase was 5%.

It is reported by UNN with reference to operative data of the Ministry of energy and coal industry on Monday, August 27.

In particular, as of 20 August in the warehouses were stored 1 million 725 thousand tons of gas coal and anthracite groups. And as of August 27 stocks rose 115,7 thousand tons, or by 6.7% – up to 1 million 8407 thousand tons of coal.

Last week the inventory level of coal increased by 3%, and before that the increase was 5%.

We will remind, on August 15 it was reported that coal stocks in Ukraine are lower than last year by 20%. Then they made 1 million 680 thousand tons.

As reported, in late July, the Cabinet approved the plan of measures on preparation for the heating period. According to the document, the gas reserves in underground storage facilities by 1 November 2018 should amount to 17 billion cubic meters of coal, 2.6 million tonnes (including anthracite brands – 1 million tons, and gas and 1.6 million tonnes) and fuel oil 130 tons.
