Export chocolate to Europe grew by 35% to 10,000 tons.

Since the beginning of the year Ukraine increased exports of chocolate in the countries of the European Union by 35% to 10,000 tons compared to the same period last year. On this day, 19 December, reported Deputy Minister of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine on European integration Olga Trofimova, transmit Ukrainian news.

According to her, in monetary terms, exports of Ukrainian chocolate for 10 months in the EU amounted to more than 23 million dollars.

“The chocolate we export in the European Union, and according to our statistics for the 10 months of this year exports of chocolate in the EU increased by 35%, we have delivered more than 10 thousand tons and more than $ 23 million. I think that it’s not bad, considering that in the European market chocolate is quite a hyped product and the market is busy big players,” said Trofimova.

She also noted that the order of the Ministry of agrarian policy and food of April 13, 2016, which from 1 January 2018 and introduces new requirements for the production of cocoa and chocolate in line with EU legislation, will allow manufacturers of chocolate to feel more confident on foreign markets, particularly European.

We will remind, in Ukraine since June 20 in force five-year anti-dumping duty size 31,33% for imports from Russia of chocolate and other finished food products with cocoa content.
