Ukraine in January-November 2018 increased imports of coal and anthracite by 9.9% – to 1 million 719 thousand tons compared to the same period in 2017 up to 19 million 95 thousand tons.

Coal was imported for a total of almost $2.7 billion, which is 10.8% more than in January-November 2017 is $2.43 billion.

At the same time from Russia received coal by $1,667 billion (share in imports – 61,91%), US $806 million (29,94%), Canada – $of 128.6 million (4,78%), other countries – $91 million (3,37%).

In addition, Ukraine in January-November-2018 exported of 63.62 thousand tons of coal and anthracite for $8,63 million, including in the Russian Federation – by $4.6 million, Slovakia $3.2 million, Moldova – $0.7 million, other countries – $0.11 million

Recall that in January-October 2018 year, Ukraine increased its coal imports by 15.5% – to 2 million 343 thousand tons to 17 million 426 thousand tons compared to the same period of 2017.

It was also reported that for the first nine months of 2018 TPPs of Ukraine has increased coal consumption by 7.1% compared to the same period of 2017 to 18.82 million tons.
