Exports to countries EUROHOUSE continues to grow

Ukraine’s exports to EU countries grew by 7%, while as to the CIS countries decreased by 4%.

The volume of foreign trade of Ukraine with EU countries in January-August 2019 amounted to 30,083 billion, which is 6% higher than the same period last year (28,445 billion dollars). This is evidenced by data of customs statistics of the State fiscal service.

The exports to the EU increased by 7% to 13,982 billion dollars, imports increased by 4% to 16,101 billion. The negative balance of 2.118 billion. The share of EU in exports from Ukraine totaled 42%, in import – 44%.

According to SFS, the volume of foreign trade with the CIS countries decreased by 4%. Exports of goods from Ukraine fell by 4% to 4,451 billion, imports – by 4% to 8,001 billion. The negative balance is 3,550 billion. The share of CIS countries in exports fell to 13.5%, imports – up to 21,0%.

Recall from 2013, Ukrainian exports to Russia fell in four. After Maidan, Russia’s share in Ukraine’s exports declined from 23.7% to 6.4%.
