Half of the Ukrainian agroekport in the EU are cereals

For the first quarter of 2019 Ukraine sold agricultural products to EU 1.88 billion.

In the first three months of 2019 Ukraine increased exports of agricultural products to the EU countries is 24.4%. This was stated by acting Minister of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine on European integration Olga Trofimova.

Total agricultural exports for the first quarter amounted to 1.88 billion dollars.

 

Import was 734,6 million dollars and increased compared to the corresponding period of the previous year by 9.9%.

The greatest number of agricultural products from Ukraine import Netherlands (379 million dollars), Spain (342 million dollars), Italy (215 million dollars), Poland (178 million dollars) and Germany (157 million dollars).

The top 5 exporting countries of the EU in Ukraine was part of Poland ($150 million), Germany (120 million dollars), France ($85 million), Italy (67 million dollars) and Hungary (49 million dollars).

Half of the agricultural exports of Ukraine to the EU are cereals, 17.8% of vegetable oil, an 8.5% residues and waste from the food industry. Also a significant part of Ukrainian exports of oilseeds, meat and edible offal of poultry, fruits, nuts and peel.

To Ukraine from EU-mostly import of maize (9.6 percent), food (9%), oilseeds (6.2 percent), and tobacco products (6,1%), animal feed (5,4%).

In General, the first quarter of 2019, the export of agricultural products of Ukraine grew by 22.5% and amounted to 6.9 billion dollars.
