Ukraine intends to expand the “Savchenko list” in connection with the imposition of a sentence of Chechnya Ukrainians Nikolay Karpyuk and Stanislav Klychu. About this on air of one of Ukrainian television said the Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin, reports “Vesti”.

“We have a list of Savchenko”. We are now going to expand. Today there is a sentence Karpiuk and Klychu”, – said the diplomat.

We will remind, on Thursday, may 26, the Supreme court of Chechnya convicted who admitted Karpyuk and Cliche guilty of participation in hostilities on the side of Chechen separatists in the 1990-ies. Karpyuk was sentenced to 22,5 years in prison, Cliche to 20 years in prison.

According to the lawyer Ilya Novikov, the Ukrainians will not serve the punishment meted out by a Russian court.

We will remind, in March of 2014 in Russia was arrested the leader of Ukrainian national Assembly (UNA) Mykola Karpyuk. Ukrainian journalist Stanislav Cliche detained in September 2014 on the territory of the Russian Federation, when he came to visit the pregnant girl.

Russian investigators claim that in 1994 Karpyuk together with Dmitry korchinskiy and members of UNA-UNSO arrived on the territory of Chechnya allegedly to carry out attacks and murder of citizens, members of the Armed forces of the Russian Federation, and also employees of law enforcement bodies”. In addition, RF IC state that Karpyuk together with Alexander Muzychko led a band called “Viking”, which also allegedly included Dmitry Yarosh and Stanislav Klyh.

In February 2016, the Russian human rights organization “memorial” has recognized Karpyuk and Cliche political prisoners.
