In Ukraine the situation has improved human rights
During the year the country has risen by 16 positions in the ranking, however, is still closer to the tail.
Ukraine ranked 118th place out of 162 in the ranking Index of human freedom 2018. While the country has made the greatest step forward of all the members of the list. Survey data published on Monday, 10 December on the website of the Cato Institute.
The first five places in the ranking are New Zealand, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Australia and Canada. And the rating Libya, Iraq, Yemen, Venezuela and Syria.
Ukraine this year was 118 place – between the United Arab Emirates and Togo. At the same time, Russia occupied the 120th place and goes immediately after.
The study was timed to December 10, international human rights day. As noted, the index is calculated on the basis of indicators 79 personal, social, and economic freedom using data for the period 2008-2016.

We will remind, at the end of last year, Ukraine was the worst in Europe in terms of human freedom.
Also this year, Ukraine has risen in the rankings to prevent climate change.
