The meeting of heads of parliaments of Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova

In the Kiva held a second meeting of heads of Parliament of the countries which signed a Declaration on the establishment of the Assembly.

The heads of parliaments of Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova signed a Declaration on the establishment of inter-parliamentary Assembly Ukraine-Moldova-Georgia. The signing of the document in Kiev was attended by Andriy Parubiy, Irakli Kobakhidze and Andrian CANDU, the press service of the Parliament on Saturday, 9 June.

“According to the statutes and regulations, this process is not instantaneous, this process then needs to be approved by the working groups elected from each Parliament, but should be the first step in the proclamation of the inter-parliamentary Assembly. I have hope that our final meeting, started in Chisinau and continued in Ukraine, we will be able to hold in Tbilisi (Georgia), where will be the formal establishment of the inter-parliamentary Assembly. I am sure this site will give us much more new possibilities for collaboration and cooperation”, – said Parubiy.

He reminded that Ukraine has a similar experience of cooperation with Poland and Lithuania in the inter-parliamentary Assembly, in which originated a lot of great ideas, e.g. the idea of the Marshall Plan.

“I have a dream that one day we will gather two inter-parliamentary assemblies of the joint session, showing that the Baltic-black sea belt and is the shield of Europe, which today defends the values and the civilized world”, – said the speaker of Parliament.

During the meeting with the Georgian and Moldovan counterpart Parubiy also signed the law on the anti-corruption court.
