Ukraine needs a new Constitution with a deep decentralization – MP

Украине нужна новая Конституция с глубокой децентрализацией – депутат

The window of opportunity to preserve Ukraine is the next two-three months, I’m sure Levochkin

The peace process in Ukraine should become the beginning of a new wide format of cooperation in Europe, confident in the Opposition bloc.

To bring the peace process in the Donbas out of the impasse, the Ukrainian Parliament should adopt the necessary laws and the new Constitution, which will provide a deep decentralization of power and economic independence of the regions. This opinion was expressed by MP from the Opposition bloc Serhiy Liovochkin, the press service of the party.

He was sure that if 2-3 months is no progress in the implementation of the Minsk agreements, “the country will once again be on the brink of disaster”.

“The peace process in Ukraine should become the beginning of a new wide format of cooperation in Europe. This will allow Ukraine to create a broad coalition of partners and donors for the restoration of the Donbass. This requires the good will of all parties – Ukraine, Russia, EU and USA. All they say about the world. But the problem today is, what is the path and what is the formula ensure a real peaceful development on the European continent. I am convinced that the first step is to make the Ukrainian government, after the necessary legislation and a new constitutional process”, – said Liovochkin.

In his opinion, Ukraine needs a new Constitution, which should provide a deep decentralization of power and economic independence of the regions.

Liovochkin also said not enough efforts of the Ukrainian authorities in the question of peace. “The government is engaged in self-preservation and the division of portfolios, not the establishment of peace in Ukraine. Is tired of all the people of our country, our foreign partners. And in Ukraine, and abroad require the world. Unlike the Ukrainian government, and Ukrainians, and foreign leaders realize that any further delay in restoring the world will lead to chaos and disintegration of the country. The saturated state of uncontrolled weapons, growing radicalism,” – said the Deputy.

In his opinion, the window of opportunity for Ukraine is the next two-three months. “If this period is no progress in the implementation of the Minsk agreements – the country is on the brink of disaster. Therefore, the task of Parliament to make peace a reality. The reality it will make new laws and a new Constitution, – summed up the politician.
