Ukraine now has a representative office in Iraqi Kurdistan

Kurds hope to improve relations with the Ukrainian authorities.

In the Iraqi city of Erbil, capital of Iraqi Kurdistan region, opened the honorary Consulate of Ukraine. This was announced by the head of the Department of foreign Affairs of the Kurdish regional government, Falah Mustafa.

“I warmly welcome the opening of honorary consulates of Ukraine and Sri Lanka in Erbil, expecting further improvement of our relations”, – he wrote in Twitter.

Iraqi Kurdistan – Kurdish political entity in Iraq, which, under the Constitution, has the status of a wide autonomy.

As reported Корреспондент.netearlier, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he did not recognize the US Alliance with the Kurds. According to him, in the middle East “no room for terrorist organizations.”
