Received 500 million euros are directed to the state budget of Ukraine

Funds will be allocated in the state budget for implementation of structural reforms, said the Ministry of Finance.

The European Commission gave Ukraine the first tranche of the fourth program of macro-financial assistance of the European Union with a nominal volume of EUR 500 million in loans at an interest rate of 1.25% per annum maturing in April 2033.

This was reported on Tuesday, December 11 on the website of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.

According to the Agency, the funds go to the state budget for implementation of structural reforms.

It is noted that for assistance, Ukraine should fulfill obligations in the sphere of fight against corruption and regarding governance quality and tax system to reform the energy sector, social policy and corporate governance in state-owned enterprises, the reform of the PFM system.

Earlier Tuesday, Vice-President of the European Commission and European Commissioner for Euro and social dialogue Valdis Dombrovskis announced that on December 11, the EU will provide Ukraine EUR 500 million.

At the end of November it became known that the European Commission approved the allocation to Ukraine the first tranche of macro-financial assistance. The Ministry of Finance reported that the tranche will go to the state budget in mid-December.
