Ukraine received the second tranche of EU financial aid in the amount of more than EUR 55 million

Украина получила второй транш финпомощи ЕС в сумме более 55 млн евро

Ukraine received the second tranche of EU financial assistance in the amount 55,125 million euros under financing Agreement signed between the government of Ukraine and the European Commission in 2014. About it reported in a press-service of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.

As noted, this assistance is recognition of the reforms from the EU.

“These gratuitous and irrevocable resources have been provided to Ukraine on the results of the European Commission assessment of the implementation by Ukraine of the reforms in the spheres of combating corruption, improving public procurement, improving transparency and accountability in the management of public finances, reforms of public administration, reforming the system of providing administrative services, implementing constitutional reforms and harmonization of the electoral legislation and legislation on financing political parties”, – stated in the message.

The Finance Ministry added that the equivalent of these funds in the national currency, as the first tranche is directed for financing of expenses of the General Fund of the state budget of Ukraine.

“This financial assistance from the EU is another step in the direction of deepening cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union”, – reported in a press-service.

The Ministry reminded that this is the second and final tranche, it is part of the international Treaty with the EU.

The first tranche in the amount of 250 million euros were received by Ukraine in July 2014.
