Ukraine has become less Interoute gas

In January-March this year, the country purchased almost 15% less gas than in the same period a year earlier.

In January-March 2019 Ukraine reduced natural gas imports by 14.8% (268,8 million cubic meters) compared with the same period of 2018 to 1 billion 549,8 million cubic meters this is evidenced by the operational data of Ukrtransgaz.

According to calculations by Interfax-Ukraine, including Slovakia for three months did 951,4 million cubic meters of gas (-23,8% by January-March-2018), Hungary – 310,5 million cubic meters (-8,6%), Poland – 287,9 million cubic meters (+24,6%).

In March 2019, imports amounted 635,8 million cubic meters of gas, which is 5.7% less than in March 2018 (673,9 million cubic meters).

Ukraine in 2018 has reduced natural gas imports by 24.6% (to 3 billion 459,8 million cubic meters) compared to 2017 to 10 billion 590,2 million cubic meters, including from Slovakia last year received 6,459 billion cubic meters of gas (-34,8% by 2017), Hungary – 3 billion 441,1 million cubic meters (+21,4%), Poland – 690,1 million cubic meters (-47,1%).

As you know, Ukraine already more than three years (from November 26 2015) does not import natural gas under the contract with JSC Gazprom of Russia, purchasing online exclusively on its Western border.

Earlier it was reported that from January to March, Ukraine increased production of domestic natural gas.

And the company announced record natural gas production over the past 25 years – for 2018 was produced of 15.49 billion cubic meters of gas. Gas production grew only 0.3% per year.
