Ukraine has supplied the fifth instalment of the new Oplot to Thailand

Five tanks arrived by sea on the naval base of Sattahip.

In Thailand came fifth batch of new Ukrainian battle tanks Oplot-T, consisting of five cars constructed at the facilities of Kharkiv Malyshev Plant in the framework of the signed in 2011 contract with a volume of over 240 million dollars, transfers Interfax-Ukraine.

It is reported that the tanks had come by sea to the naval base of Sattahip. Party of armored vehicles were shipped to the Thai customer in March. Shipment next, the sixth, the party is preparing for June.

Recall that the fourth batch of tanks Oplot arrived in Thailand in November last year. It consisted of five armored vehicles. The total figure raised at the time the tanks was 25 of 49 tanks.

The completion of the contract on refined with Thai officials planned for the autumn of 2017.

Oplot adopted by the APU in may 2009, and in the Ukrainian army delivered the first 2 tanks. At the beginning of this President Petro Poroshenko said that the Ukrainian army urgently needs to modernize T-64 and T-80, not to build a Stronghold.
