Ukraine on the 132nd place out of 159 in the ranking of countries by level of human freedom

Indicators of Ukraine in this rating is the worst among the European States. Compared to the previous year the country has lost 17 positions.

Ukraine ranked 132 place out of 159 in the ranking of countries by level of human freedom. A study on Friday, January 26, published by the center, Cato Institute the work carried out in conjunction with the Fraser Institute, Liberales Institut.

It is noted that the study was built on data about the rule of law, security, freedom of movement, the situation with the religions, information, system, property and so on.

Thus, the index of personal freedom of Ukraine was 6.53 out of 10, and economic freedom is 5.38. With the first indicator, Ukraine took the 99th place in the ranking, with the second – 149. Average figures are presented as of 5.95 and 132nd place in the ranking of the 159 positions.

The lowest figures in the graph Inflation over the last year – a 0.3 out of 10, as well as “freedom to own foreign currency” to 0.

The top ten most free countries includes Switzerland, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Ireland, Australia, Finland, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands and the UK.

Ukraine’s neighbors located on such positions: Romania – 28, Poland – 32, Slovakia – 33, Hungary – 44, Moldova – 83, Russian Federation -129 place.

It should be noted that indicators of Ukraine in this rating is the worst among the European States. Moreover, in comparison with the previous year the country has lost 17 positions. The best position in the ranking Index of human freedom, Ukraine took in 2012 to 74th place. The worst results were obtained Egypt, Yemen, Libya, Venezuela and Syria.

We will remind, earlier it was reported that Ukraine has fallen in the world ranking of economic freedom and occupied 135th place.
