The Ukrainian authorities soon plan to conduct a regular transfer of prisoners, said Denis Chernyshov.

From prisons in the uncontrolled areas of the Donbas and annexed Crimea translated 286 convicts to serve their sentence on the territory controlled by Ukraine. Such data was sounded by the Deputy Minister of justice Denis Chernyshov, UKRINFORM reported on Tuesday, March 12.

“The number of prisoners was transferred from the so-called “DNR” – 199 people, from the Crimea was transferred 12 people, two translations convicted last year and in February this year, the so – called “LNR” – 75 people. Only was translated, 286 people,” said Chernyshov.

According to officials, a major player in the issue of transfer of sentenced persons of uncontrolled Ukraine territories controlled by the office of the Parliament Commissioner for human rights, which received the transfer request.

“Will the next translation? Yes, planned, but how soon and in what quantity – can’t you tell”, – said Deputy Minister and added that he could not say how many prisoners remained on the uncontrolled territory of Donbass and Crimea.

Chernyshov said that at the beginning of 2014 in the institutions of the Crimea were kept 3295 people, in the institutions of the Donetsk region – 9511 people, Luhansk region – 6426.

Recall, February 7 separatists “LC” gave Kiev 33 prisoners who were convicted before the outbreak of hostilities in the Donbass, and expressed a desire to serve their sentence in Ukraine.

And in December last year, the separatists gave Kiev 13 prisoners serving sentences in prisons.
