The national Commission on questions of regulation of energy and utilities (NKREKU) at the meeting on Tuesday, November 27, approved the draft resolution on the halving of tariffs for services of gas transportation to the entry points and exit points. “Today has approved the draft resolution of the national Commission, which provides for the reduction by more than half of tariffs for services of gas transportation to the entry points and exit points. The new tariff will increase the competitiveness of the CTA, to open new opportunities for gas producers and at the same time to cover all operating costs of the operator of the gas transportation system and to ensure a sufficient level of profit for capital investment,” – said Krivenko.

The head of the national Commission added that such a decision is an important continuation of the state policy in terms of strengthening the energy security of Ukraine “, taking into account all of the challenges now facing our state.”

Note, the tariffs for gas transportation services for all cross-border entry points in the GTS is to be reduced in 2.1 times – from $12,47 to $6,04 per 1 thousand cubic meters per day (excluding VAT).

Tariffs for exit points will be reduced in 1,5-2,1 times.

NKREKU intends to reduce tariffs UTG at the point of entry into GTS for the extractive industry in 3.3 times with 296,8 89,02 UAH to UAH for 1 thousand cubic meters per day (excluding VAT).

The project will be approved after public hearings in December.

Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian gas transportation system is estimated at $ 14 billion.
