In the near future the Ministry of foreign Affairs will send the President a package of documents.
Ukraine will soon begin the process of terminating the Treaty of friendship, cooperation and partnership with Russia signed in 1997. On Tuesday, August 28, was announced by President Petro Poroshenko, speaking at a meeting with heads of foreign diplomatic institutions of Ukraine, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
The head of state noted that he instructed the foreign Ministry of Ukraine to prepare for the corresponding gap.
“In the near future is expected from the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine the documents required for such actions”, – he stressed.
Poroshenko noted that Ukraine is legally ready to take this step, and the contract “on the part of Moscow has already become an anachronism”.
We will remind, today it became known that Ukraine has closed its representative office in CIS.
As it became known, on may 22 the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko enacted NSDC decision on withdrawal from CIS. In this case the decision on the President’s website is not disclosed, as has the stamp “for official use only.”
