On the Ukrainian-Hungarian border in the current year will open another border checkpoint, said the President.

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko announced the opening in 2019 international checkpoint Velyka palad ‘ – Aggodos on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border. He stated this on Friday, March 15, at the Council of regional development of the Transcarpathian region, reports Interfax-Ukraine.

“This year we expect to open another international checkpoint Velyka palad ‘- Aggodos on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border”, – said Poroshenko.

He also noted the necessity of realization of the project of a bypass road around Beregovo, which will connect the Hungarian motorway M-3 with Ukrainian highway Kyiv-Chop.

In addition, the head of state expressed hope that the opening of the checkpoint near the village Dyida that will help to optimize the flow of vehicular traffic between Ukraine and EU countries.

Earlier, the foreign Minister of Poland and Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin and Jacek Czaputowicz discussed the possibility of expanding joint customs and border control on the Ukrainian-Polish border, from four to eight checkpoints.

It was also reported that the Ukrainian Ministry of planning until the end of 2018 to “build from scratch” checkpoints in the annexed Crimea – Kalanchak and Chongar.
