Украина пересмотрит все соглашения с СНГ

Poroshenko said that Ukraine will reconsider the agreement with the CIS

Poroshenko noted that Ukraine was not going to become a full member of the Commonwealth, and viewed it as an “instrument of civilized divorce with the Empire.”

President Petro Poroshenko said that Ukraine will revise all international agreements concluded within the CIS, and out of not corresponding to national interests. He said this at the ceremony of memory of victims of political repression.

“Now we look through all international agreements concluded within the CIS, and out of those that will be found even the smallest discrepancy between our Ukrainian national interests,” the President said.

Speaking about the day before he signed the decree on introduction of the NSDC decision on the final termination of Ukraine’s participation in the work of the statutory bodies of the CIS, he stressed that thus closed, the permanent mission of Ukraine in this organization.

“Ukraine, since Belovezhskaya Pushcha was considered by CIS only as an instrument of civilized divorce with the Empire. Civilized Russia’s fault it did not work: Moscow tried to rebuild the Commonwealth in the Empire, where everything, as in old Soviet times, checked the clock on the Spasskaya tower of the Kremlin. Therefore, Ukraine has not ratified the CIS Charter and is not going to become a full member of the CIS”, – said Poroshenko.

In turn, Russia said that Ukraine’s withdrawal from the CIS bodies can take at least a year.
