Convicted of 13 crimes of Alexander Kaverzin the court of Appeal of Vinnytsia region decided to release from life imprisonment. The court found that there is a threat of life and health, the press service of the court.

It is noted that the convicted person is the invalid of the first group. He had problems with vision and pressure. Disabilities Kaverzin received after tortures in militia. Kaverzina the matter was also considered by the European court of human rights.

“In accordance with the decision of the European court of human rights of may 15, 2012 in the matter of Kaverzin against Ukraine violated article 3 of the Convention about protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms in connection with the torture of the applicant by the police; a violation of article 3 of the Convention in connection with the failure of the authorities of an effective investigation into the applicant’s complaint of torture; a violation of article 3 of the Convention, given the absence in the period January to September 2001 adequate medical assistance in connection with the damage to the eyes; a violation of article 3 of the Convention in connection with the application to the applicant of handcuffs in the Dnepropetrovsk colony”, – says the decision of the court of Appeal.

Alexander Kaverzin was accused of killing seven people, including three police officers. He also convicted of grievous bodily harm, illegal possession of firearms, banditry and robbery.

Recall that in the urban-type village Borodyanka, Kyiv region there was a robbery at a local businessman with the theft of his property. Law enforcement officers arrested on suspicion of three citizens of Russia.
