Hundreds of thousands of Donbas residents do not receive earnings for retirement life

The UN is recommended to cancel the binding registration as immigrants to get pensions.

As a result of the conflict in the Donbass access to pensions lost 700 thousand inhabitants of the region. This was stated in the Monitoring mission of the UN on human rights in Ukraine on Tuesday, March 12, according to Interfax-Ukraine.

“This is a direct result of government policy, which access to pensions is tied to registration as IDPs and to the verification procedure, which is derived from this binding. Our recommendation remains unchanged – you must immediately unbind the access to pensions to register as IDPs,” said the head of the UN monitoring mission Fiona Fraser.

Earlier, the representative of Ukraine at the talks in Minsk, Yevhen Marchuk said that the residents of uncontrolled territories in Donbas receive pensions 80 billion in four years.

As you know, as a result of indexation since March 1, pensions increased 8,972 million pensioners out of 10.2 million subject to the lump-sum payment of 2.4 thousand hryvnia in average pensions have increased by 500 UAH, according to PFC.
