He noted that the radio station Lux FM, Nashe radio and Shanson Radio is trying to minimize the representation of Ukrainian songs on the air during the day.

“Some radio stations, despite the fact that they fulfil and even exceed the quota for songs performed in the Ukrainian language, trying to minimize the representation of such songs in his broadcast during the day. Thus the right is limited to Ukrainian-speaking Ukrainians access to musical works performed in their native language throughout the day,” wrote Local.

However, he said that these Ukrainian radio stations broadcast songs only in certain intervals.

“Lux FM: from 4:00 to 5:00 in the morning, from 7:00 to 8:00 am, from 21:00 to 22:00 PM; Our radio: 7:00 to 8:00 am, 9:00 to 10:00 am; Radio: from 5:00 to 6:00 in the morning, from 7:00 to 8:00 am, from 19:00 to 20:00 PM,” wrote Kostinskogo.

According to him, the regulator asked the broadcasters for explanations.

Earlier the President Petro Poroshenko said that the national radio station exceeded established quotas for Ukrainian-language songs by 24%.

It was also reported that for the entire period of language quotas on the radio of penalties for the sum more than 1 373 408 USD.
