Ukrainians are more likely to buy housing in Poland

The following places among foreigners is occupied by the Germans, the British, Belarusian and French. The most popular were apartments in Warsaw, Krakow and Wroclaw.

The Ukrainians for the third consecutive year bought the largest area of residential premises in Poland in comparison with other foreign nationalities. As reported by Dziennik, last year the citizens of Ukraine have acquired apartments in the area of 70 thousand square metres, i.e. 16% in 2016, while the total demand of foreigners amounted to 264 thousand sq. m. (year +6%).

Thus, the Ukrainians have bought 27% of the area acquired by all foreigners (physical persons), i.e. 3% more compared to the previous year. Today in Poland, about one million Ukrainians.

The following places among foreigners is occupied by the Germans, the British, Belarusian and French. The most popular were apartments in Warsaw, Krakow and Wroclaw. In 2017, the aliens acquired 1047 premises in the Polish capital, i.e. 5% less than the year before.

According to Eurostat, housing prices in Poland last year increased by 3.4% compared to the previous.

Recall that in the first half of 2018, the intensity of the movement of Ukrainians on the border between Ukraine and Poland dropped more than 8%.
