Ukrainians in February bought $942,5 million

In comparison with January sales of foreign currency by the Ukrainian population rose as buying by almost 20%.

In February, the population of Ukraine sold foreign currency in cash of $63,4 million more than they bought. This is with reference to data of the National Bank reports FinClub Monday, March 11.

So, in February the population has sold to banks and other financial institutions $942,5 million (equivalent), and they bought $879,1 thousand

In comparison with January sales of foreign currency by population increased (it was $912,9 million), purchasing ($737,4 million) – 19.2%.

In December 2018, the market was a shortage of currency: then the net purchase of cash foreign currency by Ukrainians amounted to $110.1 million, while in November the figure was $90.5 million

We will remind, in January, the Ukrainians also sold more foreign currency than bought. Then the balance of sales to banks of foreign currency in cash returned to the positive zone after two months of prevailing purchases.

It was also reported that on February 7 Ukrainians on the first day of foreign currency and liberalization bought online millions of dollars. The population of the country actively exchanged currency through the Internet applications, cash machines and terminals.
