In 2019, the Ukrainians were less likely to relax in the Carpathian mountains
In Ukraine in the current season significantly decreased the demand for ski holidays in the Ukrainian resort.
Demand for ski holidays in Ukraine this year has fallen markedly due to the visa-free regime with the European Union and outflow of Ukrainian tourists abroad, and also due to the introduction of martial law in some areas. This was stated by the Director of the Center for the development of tourism of Ukraine Volodymyr Tsaruk, said on Sunday, March 10, UNN.
“In the Carpathian region Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk region – unfortunately, we see a decrease in the number of tourists. Compared to last season, we have a decrease in travelers in Yaremche, Bukovel, Slavsko. Less than last year”, – said the expert.
According to him, the reasons for the fall in demand for ski holidays in Ukraine this season were the introduction of martial law, and bezviz, which many Ukrainians chose to stay abroad.
While Tsaruk said that the ski season is still ongoing, because the snow in the mountains still lies, and the route will take skiers have not less than a month, so the final results will fail later, although falling now is already fixed.
Earlier it became known that in Ukraine since the beginning of 2019 rescued 291 people in the tourist industry.
We will remind, on February 28 during the descent of two travelers from mount Hoverla side of the valley Kozmeschik Rakhiv district, a woman was injured. All the tourists were two, a man and a woman, residents of Odessa. Soon found them.
