The authorities have increased compensation for the value of affordable housing to 50% of participants ATO and settlers

The Cabinet of Ministers approved a new procedure for the Affordable housing program for the Ukrainian population.

The government approved a new procedure for the Affordable housing program for the population of Ukraine, which implements the State Fund for youth housing assistance. This was at the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, October 10, said Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman, reports UNIAN.

“We are committed that the program of affordable housing for all Ukrainian citizens we will be able to provide a 30% compensation for the cost of such housing. Including, not only at the expense of the state budget, but at the expense of local budgets. It is very important, this applies to internally displaced persons. Here we increase the compensation for the value of affordable housing to 50%. That is, 50% will be covered or the state, or the state of local budgets”, – said the head of government.

According to him, 50% of the cost of housing will be compensated to the ATO soldiers.

“Working with programs for affordable housing requires permanent improvement of transparency, openness and real care. We have combined the two orders, that there was one which primarily provides for the possibility of self-selection by the applicant of property that he will buy. We remove this issue from the Commission of the Ministry,” – said in turn Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of regional development, construction, housing and utilities Gennady Zubko.

He explained that the applicant will also be able to choose the Bank where the credit will be issued for the purchase of housing, and specified that 30% of the cost of housing will compensate for the state and 30% to compensate local governments.

“It is very important that the program Affordable housing was really available, so we had no purchases of apartments of 140-150 sqm, as it was before. Therefore, we specifically limited the number of square meters that may be purchased under this programme, in accordance with the number of family members,” said Zubko.

In addition, it is assumed that Homologise will publish information about who applied and who have already received apartments, and the allocation of funds across regions will depend on population, not number of applications.

Earlier, the Ukrainian government has simplified the procedure of obtaining state aid under the program of Affordable housing for the ATO participants and IDPs.

It was also reported that the Cabinet has increased the financing of the State program for youth housing on 28 million hryvnias.
