Ukrainians won bronze at the world rowing championship

Ukrainian men’s chetvertki steam won medals in the world championship.

Men’s four steam won the only medal for Ukraine at the world rowing championship held in Plovdiv.

In the final race Dmitry Mihai, Sergey grin, Alexander Nadtoka and Ivan Dovgodko finished third with a score of 5 minutes of 37.28 seconds.

The Ukrainians, who are the holders of the world record in this discipline, was in the lead after the opening 500 meters, however, got a little carried away and dropped to last place in the 1000 meters, but a good finish eventually allowed to become a third.

The gold was won by a Quartet from Italy, beating rivals from Australia for 1.2 seconds and the Ukrainian crew by 1.97 seconds.

Note that in other disciplines of the world championship, the Ukrainians failed to reach the final.
