The unemployment rate in the EU decreased to 8.7%.

Unemployment in the 19 countries of the Eurozone in November 2017 fell to 8.7% from 8.8% in October. This is evidenced by the Statistical office of the European Union (Eurostat), write News economy.

As noted, this is the minimum unemployment rate since January 2009.

The number of unemployed in the Eurozone in November fell by 107,000 compared to the previous month and amounted to 14,263 million.

In the eu28, the unemployment rate in November declined from 7.4% to 7.3%. The index reached the lowest since October 2008 the Number of unemployed in the EU in November decreased by 155 thousand compared to the previous month, to 18,116 million people.

Unemployment data confirm the economic recovery of the region. Economic growth in the Eurozone in the past year was probably the fastest in a decade.

We recall that a year ago, the Euro area recorded an unemployment figure of 9.8%.
