German concern Volkswagen may cut up to 7 thousand jobs at two plants in Germany – up to 4 thousand in Hannover and 3 thousand in Emden. Such a scenario is possible in connection with the development and production of electric vehicles, said the Agency dpa on Friday, December 21, citing informed sources.

Thus, these data indicate that reduction is possible only on a voluntary basis and after all are exhausted, the translations of older employees for a program of partial retirement. In this case, the plant in Hanover will remain little more than 10 thousand employees, in the Emden – about 6 thousand, indicates the Agency.
