Putin wants to see Poroshenko “suffers defeat” in Ukraine, said the special representative of the state Department.

The special representative of the US state Department in Ukraine Kurt Volker believes that between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian leader Petro Poroshenko – a personal feud. He said this during a video briefing for European journalists, organized in Brussels on March 18.

Walker noted that the US does not support any of candidates in presidents of Ukraine.

“We support the principles of strong democratic institutions, reform of anti-corruption and security and the restoration of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. That’s what we stand for and we would definitely say that to all the candidates,” – said the representative of the state Department.

According to Volcker, there is a personal feud between President Putin and President Poroshenko. The Russian leader is “expect change” in Ukraine, said the special representative of the state Department.

While Walker is not sure that Russia supports a particular candidate. At the same time, he noted that he expects any government in Ukraine to continue strengthening democratic institutions, reforms and fight against corruption.

On the forum Poroshenko threatened Putin

Naponim, earlier Putin declared that does not respond to attempts by Poroshenko to talk on the phone because he didn’t want to participate in his campaign. According to the leader of Russia, he does not want and will not take part in the “simple combination” of the Ukrainian President.
