The new governing body seeks to quickly solve problems between manufacturers, exporters and Ukrzaliznytsya.

The Ministry of agrarian policy and food has established the operational Headquarters for the solution of logistic problems in agriculture, the press service of the Ministry.

According to the press service, in the walls of the Ministry has already held the first meeting of the new governing body, headed by first Deputy Minister of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine Maxim Martyniuk.

The Ministry added that the Headquarters came after a meeting chaired by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Kistion “as a necessary tool for effective regulation of relations between Ukrainian manufacturers and carriers.”

“We know that the problems of the Railways, namely the lack of traction capacities of cars, the closure of inactive stations near the elevators and others, will lead to serious logistics problems in the supply of agricultural products”, – said the press service.

The composition of the new body included representatives of the Ministry of agrarian policy and food, Ministry of infrastructure, Ministry of ecology and natural resources, state ecological inspection, the Antimonopoly Committee, the State fiscal service of the state enterprise Administration of sea ports of Ukraine, Ukrzaliznytsia, as well as MPs, representatives of enterprises and associations of agribusiness. It is reported that the first meeting was also attended by the managers of grain terminals at sea ports and regional railroads that joined the discussion in an online conference.

Following the meeting, the head of staff of Maxim Martyniuk proposed to organize a permanent working group for rapid response to incoming information, which should include representatives of business and stakeholders. the main responsibilities of the working group included timely processing of problematic cases and the results agreed decisions on them.

The next meeting is to be held today, November 6.

We will remind, earlier the Ministry of agrarian policy said that in Ukraine this year is expected to second in the history of the grain harvest, which allows to significantly increase exports. However, the volume of this export largely depends on the ability of Railways to quickly resolve logistical problems and ensure the smooth delivery of grain to ports.
