Wizz Air заявила о желании вернуться в Украину

Hungarian-Polish budget airline decided to return to the Ukrainian market.

Low-cost Wizz Air is seriously considering expanding its presence on the Ukrainian market. About it the airline’s CEO Jozsef Varadi said in an interview with Polish portal fly4free.pl.

“We see that the situation in Ukraine stabiliziruemost, and from a business point of view we really really like what is happening there. Seriously considering the possibility to powerfully re-enter this market,” said Varadi.

The head of the airline explained that the decision to reduce its presence in Ukraine was caused not only by heavy fighting in the East, but the fall of the national currency.

“It’s not even in the war, and the fall of the hryvnia. Within a few months the number of passengers in Ukraine has decreased by 30%”, – explained the General Director the decision of Wizz Air.

About a possible return to the Ukrainian market, the company wrote in a Facebook ex-Minister of infrastructure Andriy Pivovarsky.

“Wizz Air has expressed the desire to return to Ukraine because “there is a stabilization”. How much time I spent on the explanation of the experts that the question of “the economy” and not “in politics”!!! And I said I was, to put it mildly, wrong. Because they’re the experts,” wrote the official.

According to Brewer, the most important thing is to create equal conditions for all, and with the economic stabilization, the market itself will develop dynamically.

We will remind, in the spring of 2015, the airline “Wizz air Ukraine”, a subsidiary of Wizz Air, ceased operations. While the Hungarian Wizz Air has continued to perform shipments to Ukraine for several of the remaining routes.
