WizzAir increased transportation on Ukrainian flights by almost 80%

In the new year the company will offer the Ukrainians 29 low-cost routes in 10 countries.

The largest low-cost carrier in Central and Eastern Europe Hungarian Wizz Air in 2017 transported to/from Kyiv and Lviv on its flights more than 740 thousand passengers. According to the company, it’s 79% more than in 2016.

Wizz Air said that the second aircraft was delivered to the base in Kiev in August 2017, and the third will arrive in spring 2018. With the resumption of flights from Kharkov to 2018 and the launch of eight new routes during the year, the company will offer passengers 29 low-cost routes from Ukraine in 10 countries.

“This year the company will provide 1.1 million seats on their Ukrainian flights, which are already available. This figure represents 89% increase compared to the previous year”, – stated in the message.

Overall in 2017 Wizz Air carried more than 28 million passengers on its low-cost routes, which is almost 24% more than in 2016.

As reported Корреспондент.netin 2018, Wizz Air will open flights from Kiev to Tallinn and Lisbon, from the city to London, Dortmund, Katowice and Gdansk, and will also resume flights from Kharkov, started flights to Dortmund and Katowice.
