Ex-world champion in superheavy weight Vladimir Klichko (64-4, 53 KO’s) won awards from the International Amateur Boxing Association (AIBA).

The ex-king of halifata Wladimir Klitschko received the award for their longstanding services to the sport of Boxing. In these days of the international Amateur Boxing Association (AIBA), marks the 70th anniversary of the organization, therefore in the Swiss town of Montreux was a gala evening with the participation of the most famous boxers of our time.

There AIBA handed out awards to particularly outstanding athletes, among whom joined our Wladimir Klitschko. The Ukrainian received the newly established award – the “Legendary boxer”.

Note that Klitschko has also performed under the auspices of the AIBA, and even won in Amateur Boxing Olympic gold medal (Atlanta 1996), because this award is well deserved, and Amateur Boxing is not alien to Vladimir, although all have become accustomed to see in the ranks of professionals. The award itself is made in the form of a glove made of gold, this will be given each year to the athlete earned the title of “legends of the AIBA”.

Wladimir Klitschko thanked the audience and AIBA but said that it is still too early to rank among the legends, so as long as he’s still working, reminding about the upcoming fight against Anthony Joshua.
