IMF calls as soon as possible to resolve the issue of Eurobonds for $3 billion.

The dispute over Russia purchased Ukrainian Eurobonds for $3 billion is bilateral, however, the international monetary Fund is interested in its early resolution. This was stated at a briefing on Friday in Washington, the Director of the European Department of the IMF’s Paul Thomsen, Interfax-Ukraine.

“This is a question that must be resolved between the two parties. We of course encourage to reach agreement as early as possible”, – he said.

On may 4, President Petro Poroshenko signed a law on indefinite moratoria on the payment of Russia’s debt.

In June 2016 the Goloseevsky district court of Kiev has seized on the “Russian debt”. And Finance Minister Alexander danyluk said that Kyiv sees no reason to return Russia of a debt in 3 billion dollars, which was received by the country during the presidency of Viktor Yanukovych.
