Yuzhmash expects from Russia the money to finish the construction of the rocket for the launch of the satellite Lybid.

The state enterprise Pivdenmash expects Russia more than $ 8 million that will be spent to complete construction of the rocket Zenit-2SLБ for the launch of the satellite Lybid. This is stated in the press service of the company.

“The contract was signed in 2011. Ordered the manufacture of a carrier rocket Zenit-2SLБ. Customer – Federal state unitary enterprise Russian Center for operation of ground space infrastructure. To complete this contract Yuzhmash awaiting 8,245 million dollars, will complete the Assembly of the item and ship it to Baikonur for launch”, – stated in the message.

We will remind, the contract on creation of the Lybid satellite was signed in December 2009, the State space Agency of Ukraine with the canadian company MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates, Ltd (MDA). The total amount of the contract amounted to $ 254 million.

The launch of the satellite was scheduled for launch vehicle Zenit-3SLB from the Baikonur cosmodrome in 2011, but has repeatedly been postponed in connection with different problems and still failed.
