The President discussed with the managing Director of the IMF a new program of expanded financing.

The President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky in Davos met with the managing Director of the International monetary Fund Kristalina Georgieva, according to the office of the head of state on Wednesday, January 22.

In particular, Zelensky and Georgieva discussed the progress of judicial reform, strengthening the rule of law and the implementation of structural reforms.

The meeting also discussed the implementation of the eff in the amount of $5.5 billion, which Ukraine and the IMF agreed last year.

The sides highly appreciated the speed and quality of cooperation of Ukraine with the International monetary Fund.

Earlier, Prime Minister Alexey Goncharuk could not give a timeframe for the new tranches of the IMF. About a three-year program at $ 5.5 billion agreed in early December, but the timing of its adoption by the Fund are still unknown.

Last week the IMF said it will decide on the programme of assistance to Kiev, when the Ukrainian authorities will fulfill all the tasks set before them.
