“The President of Ukraine expressed gratitude for the consistent support from Germany’s territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, comprehensive assistance in the implementation of structural reforms in our country, promoting initiatives to restore war damaged infrastructure of Donbass”, – stated in the message.

Zelensky has informed the German Minister about the security situation in the Donbass and expressed hope that the scheduled December 9 meeting in Normandy format will open the way to peaceful settlement of the conflict.

“They also discussed the situation around the adoption of the German law implementing the so-called EU gas Directive. Heiko Maas said that the change of German law with the provisions of the Directive”, – noted in press service.

The sides also discussed issues of practical cooperation between the parties in the context of the implementation of Ukraine’s course for European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

Informed participation in Normandy meeting on 9 December in Paris, confirmed in the Kremlin. There stated that the preparation for the meeting has entered the final stage.
