Canada appreciated the progress of Belarus in politics

Restraints on trade will be lifted from July 12.

Canada removes economic sanctions against Belarus, according to CBC News, citing the statement of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Canada.

“This revised approach reflects the recognition by Canada that the government of Belarus has made progress in key areas, including the release of political prisoners and the holding of peaceful presidential elections in October 2015. Canada also recognizes the constructive role of Belarus in facilitating talks on the conflict settlement in Ukraine”, - quotes the edition a quote from the statement of the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Canada, Interfax reported.

According to the publication, the sanctions will be lifted from 12 July of the current year, thus will be eliminated the restrictions on trade between countries.
