For the first time the heating season began because of the temperature, and not on a calendar basis, said the Minister.

In Ukraine as of October 15, the connection to the heating system is 70% with a one hundred percent technical readiness. This was announced by Vice Prime Minister-Minister of regional development, construction, housing and utilities Hennadiy Zubko, commenting on the results of monitoring of regional development.

The Minister said that for the first time in the history of independent Ukraine the heating season began because of the temperature, and not on a calendar basis.

According to Zubko, the heating season has successfully started in Volyn, Khmelnytsky, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Sumy, Ternopil regions, where as of October 15, connecting to the heat of social facilities and residential houses is 90-100%.

“Started the heating season in Luhansk region, but in Lisichansk and Rubezhnoye it needs to be accelerated. We have temperature, which obliges to apply the heat to homes and social facilities”, – said Zubko.

He said that technologically the process of connecting to the heat from the decision lasts 3-4 days.

At the same time, the Minister stated that there are problems in some localities, including those where heat-supply plant are rented.
